Another winter morning,
And I wake up feelin' old.
I know I’m not as old as some,
I know that’s what I’m told,
But I still feel the rust is creepin’ in,
As a mouse creeps through a hole,
And pisses in the ceiling of my
old world childhood home.
So after gettin' tired,
Of mouse piss in my nose,
I dig up an old pair of traps,
The kind with metal bones,
I can’t keep buying bread to fill,
A little mouse's soul:
One more, Mark,
and I feel I’m getting old.
A mouse is free, a mouse is free,
To go and piss wherever they may please,
They did it in my ceiling
and left droppings like falling leaves,
But how can I abide that rodent?
Eating here for free?
Eating all the food
that I bought for me.
I woke up the next morning,
And checked on what I set,
I didn’t expect to find a mouse,
But instead I found one dead
and I just stood and stared in disbelief,
I didn’t think it’d be
Well, just that easy.
I thought about the times that I've
eaten in life for free,
And I thought about the kindest folks
The ones that would feed me
and all the change I got from busking,
dirty pennies in the street,
And realized that mouse is me..
And yeah it’s me, that mouse is me
and I will piss wherever I may please.
If you’re leaving traps for me
to bring me to my knees,
Well you have got the food inside,
And you have got the heat.
So I will live inside your house's walls
And piss wherever I please.
And I won’t be the only one,
There’s millions just like me.
And we will not be pushed away,
We won’t accept defeat
because the cold kills more than you can
and the world is waking up.
Millions of people are being kind,
And telling you to *shut the fuck up.*
We’ll burrow through your house's walls,
and curl up in the heat.
And I will piss wherever I may please.
And I will piss wherever I may please.
It'll start with piss but it'll bring you to your knees.
I wish I could tell that mouse that:
I’m sorry
Frankly Lost is a rogue personality fronting a slowly-ever-growing band of misfits making highly energetic and earnest DIY
music that feels somewhere between fringey singer-songwriter Art and ska-punk. Following in the tradition of American Folk music, their works are musically and lyrically simple, charged with emotion, and inspired by acts such as Erik Petersen’s Mischief Brew and Frank Turner....more
I've made music with these guys before, and will likely do so again soon. They're a great group of dudes, tons of fun live, and I like this album a lot. Hoping to hear more from them soon. Frankly Lost
Before I started recording music in a van, I was recording in a basement. That's where I recorded this excellent folk-punk EP for Jonny Bear. He's a great friend and a rad musician. Frankly Lost
Post-addiction introspection, the scorn of the heartbroken, and a rippin' bouncy mandolin. Get angry, be hurt, smile a lot, and definitely shout along with your stereo. It'll get stuck in your head. Frankly Lost

A timeless album from one of the all time folk punk greats. I am so grateful for Pat the Bunny having blessed mine and so many other's with their music! This album will always be here for me. junehenryfan4lyfe
